At Pulmonx, the focus is on patient benefit.

Pulmonx is focused on developing and marketing minimally invasive medical devices and technologies to expand and improve treatment options for emphysema patients. The first Zephyr® Endobronchial Valves used to treat emphysema patients were implanted in March 2002, and six-year follow up data has been reported for patients with Zephyr endobronchial valves.1 To date, physicians around the world have successfully treated over 2,500 patients, and both the Chartis® Pulmonary Assessment System and Zephyr EBV are commercially available to treat emphysema patients in many countries. Study results under various protocols have generated over 20 peer reviewed publications in respected scientific journals, and the Zephyr EBV is the subject of the only peer-reviewed, randomised, controlled clinical studies published about endobronchial valve technology.2

Pulmonx is the only company to offer both a diagnostic and therapeutic solution to effectively manage emphysema-induced hyperinflation, offering new hope to patients and physicians alike. In partnership with leading hospitals around the world, we continue to treat patients with a broad range of emphysema and develop procedural techniques to optimize outcomes from this exciting therapy.

In addition to management of hyperinflation in emphysema patients, Pulmonx's Chartis System and Zephyr EBV have been used to manage native-lung hyperinflation in surgical patients, as well as for the resolution of air leaks.
